8.1 Pathway Support

PathwayConnect primarily offers support to current students, prospective students, and service missionaries. Pathway’s support team is organized in the following way:

Student Support

Pathway’s student support team assists current and prospective students by providing help, tools, and encouragement so students can succeed in PathwayConnect and beyond. Specific services include:

  • Assisting students with applying to PathwayConnect and enrolling in courses
  • Providing general information about PathwayConnect
  • Assisting students with tuition payment issues
  • Processing approved exceptions and waivers
  • Helping students find information on pathway.lds.org

Missionary Support

Pathway’s missionary support team assists service missionaries who are called by their priesthood leaders to facilitate PathwayConnect in an individual location. Specific services include:

  • Facilitating quick and accurate onboarding of new missionaries
  • Ensuring missionaries have a quality experience
  • Guiding missionaries through initial orientation
  • Conducting regular, ongoing training
  • Helping missionaries use PathwayConnect’s administrative system (PATH)
  • Answering missionaries’ questions
  • Providing resources to assist missionaries with their regular duties

Pathway Advising

Pathway’s advising team helps students who may struggle academically, have questions about options available after PathwayConnect, or have a desire to join the BYU-Idaho Online Degree Program. Specific services include:

  • Advising students regarding their options after PathwayConnect
  • Reaching out to students who struggle academically to offer additional assistance
  • Informing students of available academic resources through BYU-Idaho, such as tutoring, time-management tips, and motivational content
